How To Make Cannabis-Infused Spaghetti Sauce

With so many recipes available for cannabis-infused dishes, there could be a dedicated cooking channel. If only! For now, we will have to make do with sharing some of our favourite recipes for you to try at home. And what could be tastier than a THC-twist on a classic?

Just like your mamma makes it—well...not entirely. You could argue that the inclusion of cannabis in a classic spaghetti sauce will elevate (quite literally) your dinners to new heights. Regardless of how you like your sauce, our recipe for cannabis-infused spaghetti sauce is just another example of how easily cannabis can be incorporated into your favourite foods.

Marijuana is no longer reserved just for cookies and brownies. Budding bakers have started infusing their beloved green herb into a whole variety of culinary delights. If Gordon Ramsey or Ainsley Harriott are more your style, weed can be a welcome addition to a ton of tasty dishes.

A mainstay of cannabis cooking is cannabutter. Simple to make, it can form the basis for a whole spectrum of recipes, or it can be easily enjoyed on toast. The recipe for the perfect spaghetti sauce uses both cannabutter and canna-oil. The process of making them is generally the same as it involves infusing cannabinoids in a high-fat substance. We recommend using olive oil for this recipe.

The measurements listed below should be enough for 4–6 servings. However, if like us you cannot get enough of classic Italian dishes, you may want to invite a few less friends round and enjoy more for yourself.

1 can of tomato paste (170g)
2 tablespoons of canna-oil
½ cup of cannabutter
1 bay leaf
½ teaspoon of pepper
½ teaspoon of thyme
½ teaspoon of salt
½ cup of onions (chopped)
½ cup red pepper (chopped)
½ cup of water (distilled)
½ garlic clove (crushed)

Large saucepan

Bish, bash, bosh—all the ingredients go in the saucepan together. Ensure they are mixed thoroughly.

Leave to simmer for approximately 2 hours. To stop the sauce from burning, make sure to stir regularly.

For the traditional approach, serve over spaghetti. To be honest, though, the sky's the limit with this sauce. Additional products can be included like mince or meatballs. Our best advice? Go wild. Having fun and experimenting is at the heart of the cannabis community.
