How To Make Mexican Pot Tacos

Talking about edibles, one often used ingredient to make them is cannabutter. Cannabutter is an easy and convenient way to make all sorts of tasty edibles, it just has a minor problem: Its taste. Some people consider the taste and smell of cannabutter too strong and think it gives some dishes a funky note. This is why some cannabis cooking experts go through lengths to disguise the cannabutter aroma when they make edibles. This may at times definitely require some skills.

Tacos are a good choice for edibles since they have an excellent ability to cover up the cannabutter taste. Should you be among the few people, who don’t know what tacos are: They are the famed and very tasty Mexican national dish. Tacos are tortilla shells with a filling of taco meat and they are served with all sorts of delicious sides like olives, jalapeno peppers, lettuce and tomatoes.


Ingredients Pot Tacos-Soft tacos and taco seasoning (You can get this at the Mexican grocer or any well-sorted grocery store. The shells and the seasoning often come together in a kit)
-Mexican cheese, shredded cheddar or mozzarella
-For the side and topping: Onions, tomatoes, olives, jalapeno peppers, cilantro, beans, lettuce


Ingredients Cannabutter-7g finely ground weed buds
-170g (one stick) unsalted butter

We recommend you use White Widow XL or Blueberry to make excellent cannabutter, but you can of course choose any strain you like.


How to make Cannabutter- Put the butter in a medium saucepan and melt it at low heat.
- Stir the melted butter and slowly add your ground weed.
- Have the mix simmer on low heat for about 45mins. Stir frequently.
- Strain the cannabutter into a container using a metal strainer.
- Take a spoon and squeeze the cannabutter in the strainer to get all the cannabutter.
- Your cannabutter should have a green colour from the weed.


How to make Mexican Pot TacosIn a sauce pan, put the meat and add the taco seasoning. Slightly brown the taco meat on medium heat. Put the taco meat to the side when done.

Lay the taco shells on a plate and spread and cover the whole taco with your cannabutter. Take the taco meat, that you prepared earlier and fill the taco with it. Even the meat out a bit, so that there are no large chunks. Now add some shredded cheese to the mix in the taco.

Preheat your oven to 180°C. Put the tacos with the meat and the cheese in the oven and bake until the cheese melts.

Take your pot tacos out of the oven and put them on plates. Add a variety of side dishes, before you serve the tacos. It is the different side dishes, that you can use with tacos, that will make them taste from “pretty good” to “awesome”! The best side dishes to serve with your pot tacos will be lettuce, beans, tomatoes, onions, guacamole, olives, jalapenos and some fresh cilantro. Don’t forget to serve with a small dab of sour cream or unsweetened natural yoghurt. The secret to cover up the taste of the cannabutter is to use ingredients, that have a strong taste and smell of their own. Ingredients like onions or cilantro will easily disguise the taste of the cannabutter, making for some very delicious Mexican Pot Tacos!
